In a Pickle

If someone is “In a Pickle”, it means that they are in trouble or in a difficult situation, or that they have to make a difficult decision. Various ways of saying this include “we`re/I’m in a bit of a pickle”, or “isn’t this a pickle!”.

“Hey John could you help me out? I’m in a bit of a pickle…”

“Sure what’s the matter?”

“Well I ran out of gasoline on the highway and my car died… could you come nd pick me up?!!”
